Ather Rizta India launch on Ather Community Day 2024
Ather Energy's Co-Founder and CEO, Tarun Mehta, took to social media handles to tease the new family electric scooter, called Rizta. He showcased the seat of the upcoming e-scooter, claiming that it will be the biggest seat available in the market. This gives us a hint that the new Ather family electric scooter will primarily focus on practicality, usability, and space. That being said, the e-scooter has been spotted testing multiple times, revealing a few details about its styling.
New Ather Rizta: Styling
As seen in the previous spy shots, the Ather Rizta will stand out in the crowd with its distinct design language. In addition, it will likely be larger in terms of dimensions over the 450 scooter line-up. It could also boast a sizable footboard. Not to mention, the Rizta will feature a large seat. With this, we expect Ather to offer a bigger under-seat storage compared to 22-litre boot space of the 450X.
New Ather Rizta: Features
The Rizta electric scooter is expected to feature an all-digital display like the 450X or 450S, all-LED lighting, ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, single disc setup at both ends, telescopic front forks, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and fall safe, among others.
New Ather Rizta: Range, battery, and charging
Currently, the brand offers the 450 line-up with two battery pack options: 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh, depending on the mode. On the other hand, the new Rizta electric scooter is expected to feature a larger battery pack with longer range compared to the existing Ather scooters. Plus, it may not be as performance-oriented as the 450X or 450 Apex.
