Ather Redux moto-scooter concept revealed
Ather has taken the wraps off of the Redux moto-scooter concept and it looks stunning. Here is all you need to know about it.

- Take Off feature
- Adaptive Stance
- New Morph UI
- Bodywork made from AmplyTex
The new Redux moto-scooter concept was showcased at the Ather Community Day in Bengaluru and it looks fast while standing still. The scooter combines the nimbleness of a scooter with the dynamics of a motorcycle. It offers a glimpse into the future and what we can expect from Ather. The scooter features a a lightweight aluminium frame, a 3D-printed lattice mesh seat, and body panels crafted from future-ready materials like AmplyTex.
Redux new features
The company says that with the Redux, customers will be able to experience what true-keyless experience feels like. The presentation stated that you won't need a keycard, a key, or a key fob. A customer will have to just walk towards the moto-scooter and the system will recognise the rider and it will be ready to move. The Adaptive Stance is one of the most interesting feature where the rider maintains a neutral riding stance and when the posture is changed to a committed or sportier riding position, the wheelbase is reduced, the centre of gravity is lowered and even the vertically stacked dash folds itself in half for the rider to see just the speed and power consumption. It also gets handlebars with haptic functionality. There is a Take Off feature as well which is essentially launch control with a different name.
There is no timeline on when can we expect the Ather Redux but it ought to carry a hefty price tag and it will only appeal to a niche set of customers.
