All-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 officially teased ahead of launch
Royal Enfield has officially teased the all-new Himalayan 452 via its social media handles. The upcoming Himalayan will feature a new engine with liquid-cooling a first time for a Royal Enfield motorcycle.
New Royal Enfield Himalayan: Teaser highlights
The teaser picture shows the third quarter view of the all-new Himalayan with the Himlayans in the background. The motorcycle features a white paint job with the graphics of the Himalayas outlined on its fuel tank, side panel, and rear fender. It also gets a familiar metal frame, an LED headlamp, a front fender and a large beak-style fender, USD fork protectors, a split seat arrangement, LED indicators, and knobby tyres.
New Royal Enfield Himalayan: Engine
A recently leaked document revealed that the new Himalayan 450 will get a 451.65cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine generating 40PS at 8,000rpm. Although the torque figure is not available at the moment, we expect it to produce around 40-45Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the engine will come paired with a six-speed gearbox.
??Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Dimensions
The leaked document also disclosed dimensions of the motorcycle, measuring 2,245mm in length, 852mm in width (900mm if opted for handguards), and 1,316mm (1,415mm with optional windscreen). It has a wheelbase of 1,510mm.
New Royal Enfield Himalayan: Specs and features
Going by the previous spy pictures, the new Himalayan will come with a round-shaped colour TFT display. It is also likely to get dual-channel ABS, upside down front forks, a rear monoshock, traction control, slip-and-assist clutch, and a single-disc brake at the front and rear (perhaps the 320mm front and 300mm rear setup brake setup from the Super Meteor 650).
New Royal Enfield Himalayan: Launch
A block-your-date invite has already been sent for 30 October and 1 November, 2023, where the first media rides, alongside the public debut of the new Himalayan is expected to take place in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. We believe Royal Enfield to announce prices of the new Himalayan at Motoverse event (formally) in Vagator, Goa between 24 and 26 November, 2023.
