Lexus has set the stage to launch two new offerings in India this year and the new generation RX will be the first model to arrive in April, followed by the Toyota Vellfire-based LM 300h MPV in the third quarter of 2023. Interestingly, the carmaker already showcased the all-new RX and LM 300h at the Auto Expo 2023 in January this year.

New Lexus RX: Platform and Variants
The fifth-generation RX sits atop a new GA-K platform. Not only has it grown in terms of dimensions but is also lighter than its predecessor by 90kg. It features an additional wheelbase of 60mm, totalling 2,850mm. Moreover, the SUV is likely to be available in two trims: RX350h Luxury Hybrid and RX500h F-Sport Performance. Meanwhile, Lexus is expected to offer it with a wide range of colour options.

New Lexus RX: Powertrain
The RX 350h Luxury Hybrid comes powered by a 246PS 2.5-litre four-cylinder strong-hybrid powertrain. It also gets an option of an all-wheel drive system. Whereas, the top-rung RX 500h F-Sport Performance gets a 366PS 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-four engine paired with two electric motors.

Lexus LM 300h: Highlights
Lexus has also announced the launch of the LM 300h MPV in India by Q3 2023. Although it is based on the Toyota Vellfire, the LM bears typical Lexus design elements, such as an enormous spindle grille and Nike-swoosh-style daytime driving lights. On the inside, the LM offers an aeroplane first-class-inspired seating layout with a privacy partition between the front and second rows. Not to mention, these captain seats come with a bunch of features, such as reclining, a touchscreen control panel, and ventilation, among others. The highlight of the cabin is a large 26-inch screen and a refrigerator.

Lexus LM 300h: Dimensions
The LM 300h measures 5,040mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,945mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,000mm.

Lexus LM 300h: Powertrain
The LM 300h gets a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine making 152PS/206Nm paired with two electric motors. The front electric motor produces 143PS/270Nm, while the rear motor delivers 68PS/139Nm. The combined power output is rated at 197PS. This powertrain is mated to an e-CVT automatic transmission and offers all-wheel drive.
