- The new Renault Duster will carry the legacy of its celebrated badge, which now accounts for nearly one-fourth of the passenger-vehicle market in India.
- It will combine its heritage with modern design, advanced technology and enhanced performance for current SUV buyers.
- The official unveiling is scheduled for 26th January, 2026.
Suspended between pining for the past and next-gen expectations, the new Design signals Renault's intent to combine its robust character with future-ready technology and enhanced performance. Currently, Duster accounts for close to 1.8 million customers worldwide and over 200,000 in India.
Renault states that the revived SUV will embody adventure, reliability, and innovation, directly catering to the needs of the Indian market and its customers.
Renault has launched a waitlist program since the announcement on 28th October 2025, allowing interested buyers to stay connected to all the information ahead of the reveal. The return of Duster is expected to strengthen Renault's portfolio as it expands sales and service outreach. Renault India has a presence of more than 350+ sales and 450+ service touchpoints, including 250+ Workshop on Wheels across the country.
The engine options are yet to be officially confirmed by Renault.
As per the CEO of Renault Group India, Stephane Deblaise, said, "Renault Duster is more than just a name - it's a true legend. A symbol of adventure, reliability and innovation, its comeback shows our commitment to the Indian market and our desire to offer vehicles that meet the needs of our customers. New Renault Duster will rely on it's iconic heritage while adopting a modern design, advanced technology and enhanced performance".
The new Duster is crucial to Renault's India-focused "renault.rethink" strategy, which was commenced by Triber and Kiger facelifts earlier this year.
With its comeback on January 26th, 2026, the Renault Duster is expected to compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, and MG Astor, to name a few.
