2024 Triumph Daytona 660 breaks cover
Triumph has unleashed the all-new Daytona 660 globally. The British marque has revived the iconic Daytona moniker to make a new middleweight sports bike with its 660cc engine that powers the Trident 660 and Tiger 660. With the new Daytona 660, Triumph promises Intuitive, agile sports handling paired with all-day riding comfort.
2024 Triumph Daytona 660: Design
The new Daytona 660 bears an aggressive stance and sharp lines, reimagining the iconic Daytona design philosophy with a fresh styling. The key highlights of the motorcycle include twin LED headlights with a central air intake, a sizable windscreen, angular fairing, a sculpted fuel tank, and the tail section reminiscent of the Trident 660. There will be three colour options, each adorned with a bold '660' race-inspired graphic.
2024 Triumph Daytona 660: Engine, Performance, and Transmission
Powering the new Daytona 660 is a 660cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine 95PS at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. This is 17 per cent more power and 9 per cent more torque than the Trident. As claimed, over 80 per cent of the 69Nm of peak torque is available from as early as 3,125rpm. To create a unique sound for the Daytona 660, Triumph has added a new exhaust which features 3-in-1 header and a compact underslung silencer with a stainless steel finish. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox paired with Triumph's Torque Assist clutch. Also on offer is an optional bi-directional quickshifter.
2024 Triumph Daytona 660: Features & Specs
Triumph has bestowed the Daytona 660 with numerous features, such as three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain), a new Emergency Deceleration Warning system, which activates hazard lights during heavy braking for enhanced road safety, traction control, and a colour TFT display with app connectivity.
In terms of hardware, the Daytona 660 gets Showa suspension at the front and rear, twin four-piston radial callipers with 310mm discs at the front, a single 220mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper, and new Michelin Power 6 tyres. Meanwhile, Triumph will offer over 30 accessories for the middleweight supersport.
