2024 Kawasaki ZS650RS launched at Rs 6.99 lakh

Japanese motorcycle major Kawasaki has launched the 2024 Z650RS in India at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With this model year update, the retro-style motorcycle features a traction control system and is available in a single colour in the country. Notably, the 2024 Z650RS has witnessed a price hike of Rs 7,000.

2024 Kawasaki Z650RS: Highlights

Th 2024 Z650RS features a Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system with two modes to suit a variety of riding situations. There is a distinction between the Mode 1 and 2 in terms of the amount that they intervene. The first model is mostly set for dry, good-grip road conditions, maintain optimum traction in sport riding situations, especially while cornering, by predicting the rear wheel slip ratio during acceleration. The Mode 2 comes into play when there are low-grip and wet surfaces.

Apart from that, the2024 Z650RS has retained the same retro look and the round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, single-piece seat, and alloy wheels. That said, the India-spec model is available in the single Ebony/Metallic Matte Carbon Grey paint job. Unlike the Indian market, the brand offers it with a variety of colour options: such as Candy Medium Red and Metallic Phantom Silver/Metallic Matte Carbon Grey.

Further, Kawasaki continues to offer all-LED lighting, analogue-digital instrument console, telescopic front forks, rear monoshock, 272mm front dual disc setup, 186mm single disc rear, 120/70 ZR17 section front tyre, and 160/60 ZR17 section rear tyre. Meanwhile, the Z650RS weighs 192kg and has a ground clearance of 125mm. Whereas, the seat height stands at 800mm.

2024 Kawasaki Z650RS: Engine specifications

The Z650RS comes powered by the 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing 68PS at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
