2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 AT prices and variants explained

American SUV giant Jeep has launched the 2023 Compass in India with new prices starting at Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV now also comes with 4x2 automatic variants and their prices start from Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is cheaper by a staggering Rs 6,00,000 than before. In fact, the Compass was previously available with only 4x4 AT. It is available in a choice of five trim levels: Sport, Longitude, Longitude (O), Limited (O), Black Shark (O), and Model S (O). The lineup begins with the entry-level Longitude 4x2 automatic variant, which is priced at Rs 23.99 lakh. Moving up the ladder, there is Longitude (O) 4x2 AT and Limited (O) 4x2 AT that come with price tags of Rs 26.49 lakh and Rs 27.99 lakh, respectively. For those seeking a distinctive Compass version, the new Compass Black Shark (O) 4x2 AT is available at a price of Rs 28.49 lakh. And finally, the range-topping Model S (O) is priced at Rs 29.99 lakh.

2023 Jeep Compass 4x2 automatic: Powertrain

Powering the 2023 Jeep Compass 4x2 AT is a 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. This motor produces 170PS and 350Nm of torque. As per ARAI, the Compass with 4x2 automatic returns a fuel economy of 16.2kmpl and can achieve zero to 100kmph in 9.8 seconds.
