2023 Hyundai Alcazar bookings open; gets a new petrol engine
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that it has opened bookings for the 2023 Alcazar in India for Rs 25,000. Customers can book the SUV at their nearest Hyundai showroom or by visiting the official website. Notably, the 2023 Alcazar comes powered by a new 1.5-litre turbo GDi petrol engine.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Design
The refreshed 2023 Alcazar features a design update in the form of a redesigned grille. Hyundai has also given it a new puddle lamp that now projects the Alcazar logo. In addition, Hyundai offers it with six airbags as standard across all variants. Meanwhile, the 2023 Alcazar features an engine idle start/stop system too.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Powertrain
Powering the 2023 Alcazar is a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine mated to a seven-speed DCT or six-speed manual transmission. This motor produces 160 PS at 5,500rpm and 253Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500rpm. Hyundai claims that the new 1.5-litre TGDi petrol is the most fuel-efficient engine in its segment, returning 18kmpl and 17.5kmpl, with the automatic and manual transmission, respectively. This engine complies with upcoming RDE regulations and can run on E20 fuel.
Apart from that, the 2023 Alcazar retains the 1.5-litre, inline-four turbo-diesel engine that makes 116 PS at 4,000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1,500rpm and 2,750rpm. Meanwhile, the diesel motor now meets RDE norms.
