The fifth-gen mid-life update for the Honda City is about to arrive, and it will come with some new features as well as aesthetic improvements. It will be ready-to-use E20 ethanol-blend fuel that will eventually become available at most gas stations around India. We now have a look at what the facelifted Honda City will look like through a few spy shots.

The Honda City already includes ADAS, although it is only available in the hybrid variant. Nevertheless, with the facelift, this technology will be included with the sedan's base gasoline-only model. The ADAS package offered by the City includes functions including collision avoidance assistance, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

The front fascia is the primary target of aesthetic improvements. The arranged LED headlights have been kept, but the bumper has changed to give it a sportier look. A thinner chrome bar has now taken the place of the front grille's previous broad chrome bar.

The big chrome bar didn't fit with the sedan's overall look, thus this is a good modification. A little change has also been made to the grille design. Top-spec variations have a honeycomb design on the front grille, while cheaper variants have vertical slats.

The 2023 City facelift will get the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121PS and 145Nm of torque. It will come mated to a six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the City e:HEV will also continue with the 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol motor that delivers a combined power output of 126PS and 253Nm of torque. This engine will be coupled to an eCVT automatic transmission.

The upcoming City facelift is said to feature a wireless charging pad and ventilated front seats. However, it will retain the overall design and the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a semi-digital instrument cluster.
