The brand-new BMW M2 has been unveiled by the German automaker. The S58 twin-turbocharged inline-six engine from the existing M3 has been modified for the brand-new 2023 BMW M2.  The new BMW M2 Coupe has an entirely new exterior and interior design, as well as a ton of amenities and technology.

The BMW M2 is rumoured to be the company's last pure-combustion vehicle. The sports coupe, which BMW describes as the spiritual successor to the 2002 Turbo Sports Coupe and the short-lived BMW 1M,' sits below the brand's famed M3 and M4 models.

The BMW M2 has a horizontal kidney grille up front, which is surrounded on either side by two narrow LED headlights with LED DRLs. A massive air dam and square air intakes are placed on either side of the front bumper. 20-inch rear wheels and 19-inch front wheels support the vehicle. Additionally, it has a square back bumper with a diffuser and four exhaust tips, as well as thin LED taillights.

Alpine White, Sapphire Metallic, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Toronto Red Metallic, and a new Zandvoort Blue are the available exterior colours for the second-generation BMW M2.

The S58 engine in the brand-new 2023 BMW M2 generates a maximum torque of 550Nm and 460PS. Only the rear wheels receive power from the S58 engine when it is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission.

When equipped with an automatic transmission, the M2 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in only 4.1 seconds and from there to 200 kmph in 13.5 seconds. With the addition of the optional M Driver's pack, the 2023 M2's electronically regulated peak speed of 250 kmph may be raised to 284 kmph.

The BMW M2 has M Sport seats as standard, with M Carbon bucket seats available as an option. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch infotainment screen with linked technology, BMW's newest iDrive8 software, and M-specific control and presets are among the additional amenities included in the M2.

The 2023 BMW M2 will be produced in the brand's facility in Mexico alongside the standard 2 Series.
