Bajaj has revealed the prices of the 2023 Pulsar NS160 in India. The refreshed model now costs Rs. 1,34,657 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Notably, the 2023 Pulsar NS160 is costlier by approximately Rs 10,000 than the outgoing model. Here we compare the newly launched 2023 Pulsar NS160 with its closest rival the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

Powering the 2023 Pulsar NS160 is a 160.3cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled motor generating 17.2PS at 9,000rpm and 14.6Nm at 7,250rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V gets a 159.7cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. This unit produces 17.55PS at 9,250rpm and 14.73Nm at 7,250rpm.

The most significant change in the 2023 Pulsar NS160 is the new pair of upside-down front forks. Additionally, the naked motorcycle now comes equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. Bajaj has also bestowed it with a larger 300mm front disc brake instead of a 260mm unit. However, the rear 230mm disc brake and a rear mono-shock have been carried forward to the updated model.

Furthermore, the 2023 Pulsar NS160 continues to get the semi-digital instrument console as the outgoing model that shows a speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, trip meter, and clock, among others. For 2023, the readout now gets a gear position indicator. 

Whereas, the Apache RTR 160 4V is outfitted with telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. In terms of braking hardware, the motorcycle boasts 270mm single disc and 200mm single disc at the front and back, respectively. However, it only gets single-channel ABS.

Moreover, the Apache RTR 160 4V features a fully digital instrument console, which shows a speedometer, tachometer, clock, trip meter, gear-position indicator, top speed recorder, lap timer, acceleration timer, and riding modes. Speaking of which, TVS has given it three riding modes: Urban, Rain, and Sport. Not to mention, it also offers Bluetooth connectivity via TVS' SmartXonnect app. Apart from that, both motorcycles come with an LED headlamp.
