2022 Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI launched in India, prices start from Rs 16.19 lakh
Skoda India has launched the top-spec Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI in India, with prices starting at Rs 16.19 lakh for the six-speed manual. The seven-speed DCT-equipped version comes in at Rs 17.79 lakh, a Rs 1.6 lakh premium. In comparison, the equivalent Slavia 1.0 TSI Style starts at Rs 13.99 lakh for the manual and Rs 15.39 lakh for the six-speed auto.
2022 Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI engine, specifications
The Skoda Slavia 1.5 is powered by the 1.5-litre TSI Evo four-cylinder turbo-petrol motor. This unit features cylinder deactivation and puts out 150PS and 250 Nm. As mentioned, the two gearbox options are a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT. The larger-engined Slavia is about 60 kgs heavier than the 1.0 and the ARAI-rated fuel-efficiency figure is 18.72 kmpl. The Slavia 1.5 can do 0 to 100 kmph in 8.8s.

The larger-engined Slavia is available only in the top Style trim and gets the full suite of tech and convenience features on offer with the Skoda sedan. This includes LED headlamps, LED taillamps, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, eight-speaker audio system, Skoda Connect connected services, climate control, ventilated front seats, keyless entry and start, cruise control and wireless charging.
Safety features include six airbags, hill-hold control, TPMS, stability control, multi-collision braking, ABS, electronic differential lock, motor slip regulation, traction control and brake disc wiping.
2022 Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI rivals
The Skoda Slavia 1.5 is priced higher than the likes of the Honda City and Hyundai Verna but undercuts the Hyundai Elantra.
