2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift launched in India, prices start from Rs 11.29 lakh

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift has been launched in India, after the Ertiga last week. Prices start from Rs 11.29 lakh for the base Zeta MT, going up to Rs 14.55 lakh for the new Alpha Plus variant

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift new engine, gearbox, mileage

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift now gets the updated 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder petrol. This motor comes equipped with the DualJet tech seen on the smaller 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre units improving overall efficiency and driveability, although power figures have dropped marginally by 2PS and 1 Nm to 103PS and 136.8 Nm. A more significant change is the introduction of a new 6-speed torque-converter automatic. This replaces the earlier 4-speed units and gets paddle shifters.

Fuel-efficiency figures have improved with the new engine, which now features a start-stop function. The XL6 MT has an ARAI rated fuel efficiency figure of 20.97 kmpl while the AT returns 20.27 kmpl.

The XL6 facelift has seen some minor exterior and interior revisions. These include a revised grille with angular chrome inserts, a rear chrome garnish, dual-tone paint, blacked out rear lighting and pillars, and a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift has a new wood finish to the dashboard. There are also three new dual-tone paint options.

Major new feature additions include ventilated seats and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with connected-car features. Carried over from the previous version are LED lighting, auto headlamps, cruise control and climate control.

The revised XL6 also comes with an improved set of safety features, highlighted by the 360-degree camera, TPMS, four airbags, ESC and a hill-hold function. Standard safety equipment includes ISOFIX seats and all mandated safety features like four airbags, ESC, ABS, seatbelt reminders and speed buzzers.
