Triumph motorcycles has launched the all-new 2021 Bonneville Bobber in India at Rs 11.75 lakh ex-showroom. The company says that the 2021 model blends all of the previous generation Bobber's engineering innovation along with the Bobber Black's appearance and capabilities.

The launch of the new single-seater motorcycle comes just days after triumph introducing two limited edition motorcycles to its 'Modern Classics' line-up for India in the form of the Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm and Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition.

The 2021 Bobber is powered by a 1200cc parallel-twin motor with a 270-degree crank angle and produces 78PS at 6,100rpm and 106Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The liquid-cooled engine, which now complies with Euro 5 and BS VI emissions, is mated to 6-speed gearbox. We personally appreciate the fact that the new bike also gets the beefy 16-inch wire-spoked wheel, Brembo 2-piston calipers and twin disc setup at the front – a setup which was previously only available on the Bobber Black. With this front-end setup, functionality and aesthetics go hand-in-hand.

The new Bobber stays true to its rather minimalistic nature, featuring ride-by-wire system with two riding modes - road and rain, a larger 12-litre fuel tank, 47mm front fork and a revised instrument cluster, Triumph's signature DRL-infused LED headlight unit,  a blacked-out engine, cam and sprocket cover. Triumph has also made a host of optional extras available with its 2021 single-seater, 77 of them in total, which include an alternative high bar set-up, as well as luggage and choice of seating options. ABS and switchable traction control are standard fitment on the new model - which also comes in new Matt Storm grey and Matt Ironstone colour scheme, a well as a new Cordovan Red scheme, in addition to the classic Jet Black option.

Speaking on the launch, Shoeb Farooq, Business Head - Triumph Motorcycles India said, "The Triumph Bobber has always had a demand among Indian customers and due to this we decided to bring the Bobber back after a gap of 1 year. The 2021 Bobber features new updates, with the blacked out finishing giving the motorcycle a more stunning appeal. I'm sure the Bobber will make it to the garages of enthusiasts who have an eye for beautiful motorcycles with engaging performance".

Now while we are happy that the Bobber has made its comeback in India after little over a year off the market, with all its signature hallmarks and beautifully crafted details, one aspect that doesn't amuse us all the same is that hefty asking price of Rs 11.75 lakh ex-showroom that it has rode in with.
