2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift expected to launch on August 4

Tata Motors is expected to launch the facelifted 2021 Tata Tiago NRG in India on August 4. The Tiago NRG is the SUV-inspired derivative of the Tata Tiago hatch and comes with numerous styling cues to give it a crossover theme.

The 2021 Tata Tiago NRG should get the new headlamps and honeycomb grille from the Tiago facelift. Expected to add to this are more rugged looking bumpers with grey cladding and ornamental scuff plates, body side and wheel arch moulding, roof rails and boot lid cladding. The ground clearance should increase by around 10mm to 180mm over the standard Tiago.

2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift interiorThe interiors of the Tata Tiago NRG should feature orange highlights with orange stitching on the model-specific set upholstery. The Tiago NRG should be based on the top-spec Tiago and get a full suite of creature comforts like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and 8 speakers, a digital instrument cluster, auto climate control, steering mounted controls, height-adjustable driver's seat and auto-folding outer mirrors, among other things. Safety features should include 2 afront airbags, ABS and corner stability control.

2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift engine, gearbox

The Tigo NRG should carry over the same engine-gearbox combination as the standard Tata Tiago. This means a 1,199cc three-cylinder petrol engine with 86PS and 113 Nm. The engine should pair with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT option.

2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift expected price

Prices of the standard Tiago start from Rs 5 lakh and go up to Rs 6.95 lakh for the top XZA+ variant. With the Tiago NRG expect to be based on the top trim, expect prices to range between Rs 7.5 and Rs lakh, ex-showroom.
