2021 Ford Figo petrol automatic launched in India, prices start from Rs 7.75 lakh

Ford India has expanded the Ford Figo line-up, adding an automatic variant to the petrol engine. Prices for the Ford Figo petrol automatic start from Rs 7.75 lakh for the Titanium going up to Rs 8.20 lakh for the Titanium Plus. Prior to the BS6 switchover, the Figo was available with this gearbox only with the erstwhile 1.5 litre petrol option, which has now been brought back to the smaller petrol version.

The Ford Figo automatic is powered by the 1.2-litre Dragon three-cylinder petrol engine which makes 96PS and 119 Nm. The gearbox is a six-speed torque converter unit that offers a sport mode as well as manual control via a button on the lever. Aside from this, a 1.5-litre diesel engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox only. This motor puts out 100PS and 215 Nm. Dimensionally, the Figo is 3,941mm long, 1,704mm wide and 1,525mm tall with a 2,490mm wheelbase.

The 2021 Ford Figo petrol automatic is available in the Titanium and a new Titanium Plus variant. The Titanium variant offers 15-inch alloys, height adjustment for the driver's seat and rear passenger headrests, Ford Pass connected tech, 7-inch touchscreen with navigation, manual AC, steering wheel mounted controls, two airbags, powered outer mirrors and ESP.

The Titanium Plus adds side and curtain airbags, auto-headlamps and wipers, power folding mirrors, front fog lamps and a rear washer/wiper and defogger.

2021 Ford Figo petrol automatic rivals, prices

The Ford Figo AT competes most closely with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, as well as with the higher-specced versions of the Tata Tiago.
