2021 Dacia Duster facelift revealed - India bound?
The new Duster comes with some minor cosmetic changes along with a new dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Talking about the design changes, the front of the new Duster is inspired by the Sandero featuring Y-shaped LED DRLs and LED headlights. The LED headlights come with automatic high beam activation as standard. Furthermore, the grille features a new chrome finish and the lower bumper gets a silver skid plate.
The rest of the design is similar to the pre-facelifted model. However, the 16 and 17-inch wheels tested in the wind tunnel are more aerodynamic than before and help the four-wheel-drive models with lower CO2 emissions. On the inside, the new Duster features new upholstery for the seats and new headrests along with a new centre console with a retractable armrest. Other than that, the layout and quality levels remain the same as before. The top-trims get the updated 8.0-inch Media Nav infotainment system with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Dacia offers the Duster with both petrol and diesel engine options whereas the diesel trims also get 4x4. The petrol engine is also offered with a new six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Talking about the Indian market, Renault had patented the second-gen Duster in India before the facelifted model was revealed. If rumours are to be believed, Renault may launch the Duster in India early next year.
