2019 Porsche Macan SUV: Variants explained

The facelifted 2019 Porsche Macan has been launched in India in two variants, a base Macan and the more powerful Macan S. The two cars have quite a few differences under the skin. Here's what they are:

Macan - Rs 69.98 lakh - ex-showroom India

- 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo with 252PS/370Nm
- 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission
- Steel spring suspension
- Porsche Traction Management AWD system
- Porsche Stability Management with ABS, EBD, automatic brake differential (ABD) and anti-slip regulation (ASR)
- Off-road mode
- 18-inch alloys
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

The easiest way to identify the new Macan from the old one, is the seamless strip of lighting on the tailgate

- All-round ventilated disc brakes
- Black exterior trim and twin tailpipe
- Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including navigation and 10 speakers
- LED DRLs, headlamps and tail lamps
- Auto headlamps
- Auto-dimming rear-view camera
- Lane departure warning
- Cruise control
- Front, side and curtain airbags
- 3-zone climate control
- 8-way powered driver's seat
- Black interior package
- Powered tailgate

Macan S - Rs 85.03 lakh - ex-showroom India

- 3.0-litre twin-scroll turbo with 354PS /480Nm
- Active air intakes
- Air Suspension with a levelling system and height adjustment, including Porsche Active Suspension Management
- Auto start-stop and coasting
- 6-piston aluminium monoblock fixed caliper brakes finished in aluminium grey
- Quad tailpipes
- Integrated 4G/LTE compatible SIM including data for the Porsche Connect Services, navigation and
Infotainment services standard.
- Ambient lighting package
- Boost pressure gauge

Porsche India has also debuted a new maintenance package called Crest Care with the new Macan. Two packages are available, Standard and Elite. This covers scheduled maintenance costs like servicing, parts and labour, and is valid at Porsche dealers a cross. The standard package for the Macan costs Rs 1.43 lakh, while the Elite costs Rs 5.34 lakh. This increases to Rs 1.52 lakh and Rs 5.56 lakh for the Macan S.
