2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis variants explained

Maruti Suzuki has updated their premium hatchback offering, the Ignis and has priced it at Rs 4.79 lakh, ex-showroom. While the exterior and the interior design has been left untouched, Maruti Suzuki has made safety features such as passenger-side seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors, a speed alert system a part of standard fitment. The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis also gets roof rails as a part of this update. Nexa dealerships across the country had already started accepting bookings for the 2019 Ignis at Rs 10,000. The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis rivals the likes of the Mahindra KUV100 and also the Hyundai Grand i10. The hatch is offered with a 1.2l petrol engine that makes 83PS at 6,000rpm and generates 113Nm at 4,200rpm.

Alpha: Rs 6.67 lakh (MT) / Rs 7.14 lakh (AMT)

The Alpha variant of the 2019 Ignis is the top-spec trim and comes equipped with front grille with chrome accents, LED projector headlamps, DRLs, foglamps with chrome surrounds, alloy wheels, body coloured door handles and ORVMs, puddle lamp, dual-tone dashboard, SmartPlay Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with BT and USB connectivity options, 4 speakers 2 tweeters, steering mounted audio controls, remote keyless entry, start/stop button, automatic air-conditioner, electronic folding ORVMs, adjustable driver seat, tilt steering, front and rear power windows, rear parking sensor, rear view parking camera, rear defogger, wiper, speed sensing auto door locking and driver seat belt reminder.

Zeta: Rs 5.82 lakh (MT) / Rs 6.29 lakh (AMT)

The Zeta variant comes with fog lamps with chrome surround, alloy wheels, body colored door handles, side sill moulding, dual tone dashboard, audio with FM and CD, Bluetooth compatibility, USB connectivity with four speakers and two tweeters, steering mounted audio controls, start/stop button, keyless entry, electronic folding ORVMs, electronic folding ORVMs, adjustable driver seat, tilt steering, front and rear power windows, rear parking sensor, rear defogger, wiper, speed sensing auto door locking and driver seat belt reminder.

Delta: Rs 5.40 lakh (MT) / Rs 5.87 lakh (AMT)

The Delta trim of the 2019 Ignis is equipped with wheel cover, body coloured door handles, dual tone dashboard, audio with FM and CD, Bluetooth and USB and two speakers. It also gets steering mounted audio controls, remote keyless entry, air conditioner with heater, electronic adjustable ORVM, 12 V accessory socket, tilt steering, front and rear power windows. The newly added safety features are offered as standard on the 2019 Ignis.

Sigma: Rs 4.79 lakh (MT)

The base variant of the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis gets body coloured door handles, ORVMs, air conditioner with heater, 12v charging socket, front power windows, immobilizer, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters and a speed alert system.
