2016 Auto Expo: Chevrolet showcase the 2016 Camaro and Corvette Stingray
Chevrolet today showcased the 2016 Camaro and Corvette Stingray at the 2016 Auto Expo. Internationally, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is offered with three engine options a 275PS 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit, a 335PS, 3.6-litre V6 and, of course, a 6.2-litre V8 that puts out a good 455PS. These engines can be optioned with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic.
Chevrolet Corvette
The 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which caught quite a bit of attention here at the Auto Expo 2016, is offered with just one engine, a 6.2-litre V8 that produces 460PS. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has an aluminium space frame which makes its about 45 kilos lighter than its predecessor. The interiors are draped in Nappa leather with a huge touch screen infotainment system that adorns the centre control. The car also gets a performance data recorder that video logs your trip onto an SD memory card. The driver can then view the footage and improve his driving skills.
Ford has recently launched the new Mustang in India. Looking at the interest that the Corvette generated at Auto Expo 2016, it will be ideal for GM to launch it in our market.
