2015 Skoda Fabia interiors revealed
When Skoda showcased the new Fabia couple of weeks back, there were no interior images. The Czech manufacturer has now released an image of the new Fabia's interior.
The new Fabia while being shorter than the outgoing model by 8mm, has an increased wheelbase at 1674mm. Elbow room, both at the front and rear has increased by 21 and 2mm longer respectively. The new Fabia's boot space has gone up 15 litres and now stands at 330 litres. This increases to 1,150 litres with the rear seats down. Skoda further says that the loading lip is now even lower and the loading area is 960mm wide, two more than the old car.
While the Skoda Fabia's cabin looks fresh, it still reminds us that this is teutonic design. There is a new infotainment system which one can connect their smartphone with via USB. The new MirrorLink technology displays certain apps when paired with a compatible mobile phone. Apart from this, other features on the new Fabia include an ice scraper in the fuel filler cap, more storage devices inside the cabin and storage nets in the boot.
Skoda has also added cornering function to the fog lamps. The new Fabia will be showcased to the world at the upcoming Paris Motor Show this September.
