2013 Geneva Auto Show: ItalDesign Giugiaro Parcour
This is one of the most interesting cars we've seen from Geneva so far. The Parcour is essentially based on a Lamborghini Gallardo and it uses the same 5.2-litre V10 engine that sends 550PS through all four wheels. The Parcour's party trick however is its almost go anywhere ability. The car uses a trick version of pushrod suspension where the pushrods themselves have been replaced by coilover springs which makes for a total of 8 springs. This allows the car to be raised up to 330mm which allows the car to be driven in offroad conditions and even on ice or the car can be dropped low for track driving. This suspension set up supposedly allows for stiffness when in track mode and a subtle, absorptive nature when in offroad setting. It's an unsusual concept and we can't help but spot some influence from the legendary Lancia Stratos.
