Yamaha XSR155 launched at Rs 1.50 lakh

The Yamaha XSR155 has been launched at for Rs 1.50 lakh which shares its engine and chassis with the R15 and MT-15.

- Powered by 155CC single-cyl that makes 18.4 PS and 14.1 Nm 
- Gets traction control, flat-bench seat and dual-channel ABS
- Four colour options - Blue, greyish green, red and metallic silver

The neo retro sibling that shares quite a lot with the R15 and the MT 15 is powered by the same engine, the 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine pushes 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm.

The familiar Delta-Box frame is suspended by a USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on 17-inch wheels that come shod with tubeless tyres. It gets all LED lights, traction control, smart phone tethering, and dual-channel ABS. The bike gets a fuel tank capacity of 10-litres and tips the scales at 137 kg. It gets a minimum ground clearance of 120 mm and a seat height of 810 mm. And braking duties are done by single rotors at both ends. The bike is offered in four colour shades - Blue, Greyish Green, Red and Metallic Silver.

The Yamaha XSR 155 locks horns with the likes of the TVS Ronin, Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Yamaha MT-15, and KTM 160 Duke to name a few. The new XSR 155 is Rs 5000 cheaper than the MT-15 and also 4 kg lighter.
