The Yamaha EC-06 uses a 4 kWh battery pack that comes mated to a motor with a peak output of 9.2 PS and the company claims a top speed of 90 kmph. The company claims a range of 160 km on a single charge and a full charge takes about nine hours. It gets a boxy design with a vertically placed rectangular headlamp unit. The apron has the indicators integrated into it, with a sizeable instrument cluster that sits atop the front section. It gets a single seat piece seat, and grab rails for the pillion.

The cycle parts include a conventional telescopic fork up front and a twin shock absorber unit at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes for both the sections. We can expect multiple ride modes, reverse assist, connected features, geofencing, anti-theft alerts, remote immobilisation, call and text alerts, music functions, navigation and over-the-air updates to name a few.

The brand has not revealed the price of the EC-06 but we can expect the launch sometime next year. Upon launch it will rival the likes of the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube to name a few.
