Watch McLaren P1 lap Nurburgring in under 7 minutes

The much-hyped about McLaren P1 hybrid hyper car is in the news again. McLaren has released a video claiming that its hybrid wonder has completed the 'Ring run in under the hallowed seven-minute mark. While there have been several cars which have done this before, McLaren says that the P1 did this on road-going tyres and was driven all the way from UK to the track by Chris Goodwin. While McLaren hasn't revealed 'how much under 7 minutes', they did elaborate that the P1 did 178kmph on an average. The Nordschleife track is a good 20.8km. We believe a press release will follow after some days confirming the official timing.
