Vinfast VF MPV 7 booking open, launch on 15 April
Vietnamese EV maker VinFast is gearing up to expand its India lineup with a new electric MPV, the VF MPV 7, set to launch on April 15, 2026. Ahead of its debut, the company has already begun accepting bookings for the model with a token amount of Rs 21,000, and deliveries are expected to begin soon after the official launch.
The VF MPV 7 will become VinFast's third offering in India, joining its existing SUV range that includes the VF6 and VF7. Designed as a family-focused electric vehicle, the MPV is built to cater to private buyers looking for space, comfort, and modern features.
In terms of size, the MPV measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height, making it comparable to other three-row vehicles in the segment. While it shares similar proportions with VinFast's Limo Green, the MPV 7 is positioned as a more premium option with features such as leatherette seats, ambient lighting at the front and rear, keyless entry, and larger 19-inch alloy wheels.
The exterior follows VinFast's signature styling, highlighted by sleek LED headlamps and a connected tail-light setup. Inside, the cabin focuses on practicality and comfort, offering a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multiple USB-A and USB-C charging ports, an adjustable driver's seat, and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel.
On the safety and convenience front, the MPV comes equipped with tyre pressure monitoring, disc brakes on all wheels, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and various stability and braking assist systems.
Powering the vehicle is a 60.1 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. This setup is expected to deliver around 201 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The MPV also offers multiple drive modes and regenerative braking levels (Low, Medium, and High). It is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in under 10 seconds, making it suitable for both city commutes and highway trips.
Once launched, the VF MPV 7 will compete with other three-row electric models such as the Kia Carens Clavis EV, BYD eMax 7, and the upcoming Mahindra XEV 9S.Â
