Upcoming 2024 Kia Carnival features and specifications revealed

The South Korean carmaker Kia has presented the features and specs of the new-generation Kia Carnival. The premium people-mover will be available in three seating arrangements and three engine options. Although pre-bookings for the car are underway in some overseas markets, the Indian launch of the new Kia Carnival is set for next year.

New Kia Carnival: Interior and Features

The amount of buttons on the centre console has been reduced. It gets the same temperature control touch panel as other contemporary Kia vehicles. The dual-screen display is part of an upgraded infotainment system, and yellow highlights on the dashboard and front door cards are noticeable.

The Carnival is available in three sitting configurations, depending on the variant: four-seater, seven-seater, and nine-seater. The new Carnival is offered in six exterior colour schemes: Ivory Silver, Snow White Pearl, Astra Blue, Pantera Metal, Aurora Black Pearl, and Ceramic Silver. The interior may also be customized in three other colours: taupe, navy grey, and cotton beige.

The new Carnival comes with extra amenities, including a dual display configuration with two 12.3-inch panels for infotainment and the instrument panel, a head-up display, OTA updates, Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2) along with the ADAS suite, and eight airbags. Air purifier, wireless charging, ambient lighting, driver's Ergo Motion seat, digital IRVM, multi-zone temperature control, and back entertainment package with a 14.6-inch HD screen are all included.

New Kia Carnival: Powertrains

Kia is keeping quiet on the upgrades beneath the hood, but it does state that the Carnival will be available with a hybrid powertrain. In South Korea, where the family-friendly MPV will be available for order beginning this week, it will be sold alongside gasoline and diesel varieties.

So in addition to the existing 3.5 petrol and 2.2 diesel, Kia has newly installed the 1.6 turbo hybrid in the new Carnival that will also feature E-Ride, E-Handling, and E-EHA (Electrically Evasive Handling Assist) to improve ride comfort.

New Kia Carnival: Design

The revised snout, which matches the recent makeover of the mechanically similar Kia Sorento SUV, is the focus of the appearance. A bigger tiger-nose grille and a single lower bumper intake are coupled with vertically placed headlamps with narrow horizontal LED strips. The bonnet and front fenders, on the other hand, look to be carried over from the pre-facelifted model, as does the profile.

The alloy wheel style is similar to that seen on current Kia vehicles, particularly the EV5 and EV9. The back of the 2025 Carnival is now smoother because the tailgate handle is no longer visible. The lower lights situated in the rear bumper appear to be thinner than previously, but the bumper's metallic trim extends further than on the previous model.

New Kia Carnival: India

Kia India is now getting ready to launch the facelifted Kia Sonet in the coming weeks. More information on the revamped Carnival will be revealed in due course. Kia has announced that the MPV, along with the born-EV EV9 flagship full-size SUV, will be available in India next year.
