The JK Tyre TSD Car Rally 2013 concludes in Kolkata

Time Speed Distance rallying has always been one of the more popular forms of motorsport in the country. This, especially because you can drive up to the start line of the rally in your daily runabout, and actually compete an entire event in that very set of wheels. No modifications required and it's not too hard on the pocket either.

This is probably one of the reasons that the JK Tyre TSD Car Rally 2013, organised by the Calcutta Motor Sports Club, was such a success. Flagged off by SRChatterjee and S Ghosh of JK Tyre and Industries Ltd, with Vir Raina of Calcutta Motor Sports Club, the rally began from Dishari, Salt Lake and covered a distance of 80km, finally finishing in the near City Center. The route travelled through some of the city's finest roads and provided competitors with a scenic view through the event.
