The Tata Punch facelift will be offered with a lot of new features and tweaks over the outgoing model, but the most important one will be the addition of the turbo-petrol engine. The existing model uses a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated, three-cylinder unit that pushes 86 PS and 115 Nm of peak torque. The engine is offered with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT gearbox. The compact SUV is also offered with an i-CNG powertrain that features the dual-cylinder technology.

The teaser shows hefty tweaks done to the front fascia, the headlamps are now stacked vertically and the grille is now slimmer than on the outgoing model. The front bumper gets air curtains on the lower corners, dual air- intake slits on the upper section, new DRLs and black cladding.  The profile section boasts of new 16-inch alloys with thick cladding on the flared wheel arches. And the rear section gets a full width lightbar and an integrated spoiler as well.

On the inside, we can expect a sizeable infotainment unit which will be bigger than the outgoing unit, slight tweaks to the centre console, a digital MID, and slightly tweaked air con vents and control. We can also expect new seat upholstery, a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel with illuminated logo and push start-stop button to name a few. And the safety suite is likely to offer six-airbags as standard, along with cruise control, hill hold assist, and 360-degree surround view to name a few.

The Tata Punch locks horns with the likes of the Hyundai Exter, Nissan Magnite and Kia Sonet to name a few. And we can expect the new 2026 Tata Punch to have a sticker price starting from Rs 6.50 lakh and the top model crossing over the Rs 10 lakh mark.
