Suzuki launches special edition Swift SZ-L in UK
Suzuki has launched a special limited edition of its Swift hatchback, named SZ-L in UK. This offering will go on sale from March 1,2014 at the cost of 10,899 pounds (Rs 11,26,382) for the three door model and 11,316 pounds (Rs 11,69,478) for the five door model. The Swift SZ-L is based on the SZ3 model and only 500 examples will be made.
The SZ-L comes with all the standard features available in the SZ3 like ESP and seven airbags. Additionally, the SZ-L gets gets daytime running LED lights and cruise control.
Changes to the exterior include two-tone metallic paintwork in boost blue and cosmic black body colours while a contrasting white colour has been applied to the roof, rear spoiler and side mirrors.
On the inside the steering wheel, gear gaiter and seats have a unique fabric design that have been stitched in silver to give the cabin an air of exclusivity.
Powering the Suzuki Swift SZ-L is a 1.2litre, four cylinder, dual VVT engine producing 94PS and 118Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed tranny which drives the front wheels. Suzuki claims that the SZ-L emits just 116g/km of CO2 and has a combined fuel efficiency of 24kmpl.

Inside, silver stitching has been added to the steering wheel, gear gaiter and seats which also have a unique fabric design. Crucially, the Swift SZ-L offers value for money in terms of running costs and purchase price; the 1.2-litre Dual VVT 94PS engine is one of the most powerful in its class, but offers low emissions of just 116g/km CO2 costing £30 in annual VED after the first year and returns a frugal 56.5mpg on the combined cycle. SZ-L is in insurance group 11E, the same low group as the rest of the Swift range, making it the ideal purchase for younger Swift fans who want to own a more striking, design led car for an affordable cost. Additionally, Suzuki Financial Services has included it in their popular PCP Driveplan campaign, SZ-L requires a deposit of just £999 followed by 42 monthly payments of £179 and an optional final balloon payment to keep the car.
