Royal Enfield Meteor 350 registers over 6 lakh units in sales
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has crossed the 6 lakh sales milestone globally since it was launched in November 2020.
The Meteor 350 is currently sold in more than 60 countries and is supported by a wide dealership network. Royal Enfield operates over 2,000 retail outlets across India and more than 1,000 dealerships internationally, helping the motorcycle reach customers in a large number of markets.
The bike was also significant for the company as it was the first model to be built on Royal Enfield's modern J-series platform. This platform brought improvements in engine refinement and overall ride quality compared with earlier models.
Royal Enfield says the Meteor 350 has appealed to a broad range of customers. Its easy-to-ride nature has made it popular with first-time motorcycle buyers, while experienced riders have also chosen it as a comfortable cruiser for longer rides. The model also won the Indian Motorcycle of the Year in 2021.
Powering the Meteor 350 is a 349cc air-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 20.2 PS at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox and also comes with a slipper clutch.
In terms of features, the motorcycle gets a digi-analog instrument cluster along with Royal Enfield's Tripper navigation pod for turn-by-turn navigation. Other equipment includes LED lighting, a Type-C USB charging port and adjustable levers.
In India, the Meteor 350 is offered in four variants - Fireball, Stellar, Aurora and Supernova, with prices ranging between Rs 1.96 lakh and Rs 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
