Renault Filante introduced as the flagship SUV

The Renault Filante has been showcased as a part of the brand's 2027 International Game Plan and also marks the return to the premium segment.

The Renault Filante is a significant part of the brand's 2027 International Game plan offensive and before 2027, the brand  will have launched eight new vehicles outside Europe, including five in segments C and D. The Filante joins the Kardian, Duster, Boreal and Koleos in the brand's portfolio.

In terms of powertrain, the Filante will be offered with a hybrid system that includes a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine coupled with two electric motors and a 1.6 kWh battery. The transmission option includes a three-speed gearbox.
The combined power output stands at 250 PS and over 564 Nm of peak torque. The Filante has been developed on the CMA platform which is used in the Grand Koleos as well.

In terms of looks, the Filante sports flowy lines and an athletic stance, this is further accentuated by the sloping roof line at the rear, the sleek DRLs and taillights at the rear, and the wheel arches housing the sporty looking 20-inch alloys. Other exterior mentions include a shark fin antenna, a sporty spoiler at the rear, pull out door handles, and aggressive taillight design. It also gets a 633-litre bootspace.

The interiors features include three 12.3-inch touchscreen units that consists of a touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital driver's dash, and a front passenger unit. Other mentions include a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, a voice asisstant, three-zone climate control, a fixed glass roof, and a premium sound system.

The safety suite on the Renault Filante consists of Level 2 ADAS features such as automatic parking assist, surround-view cameras, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist to name a few. The SUV will also get an augmented head-up display that will relay vital information such as speed, odo, SOC, distance to empty, tyre pressure and drive modes among others.
