One of 26. The Venue Begins the Journey for Hyundai 2030 India Target
As we know from Hyundai's plans announced this October, the automaker has laid out an ambitious roadmap for India, outlining 26 launches by FY2030, including 7 all-new nameplates. The company is set to enter new MPV and off-road SUV segments, introduce India's first locally manufactured dedicated electric SUV by 2027, and launch its luxury brand Genesis in the country. Hyundai aims to capture over 15% of India's passenger vehicle market, with SUVs contributing over 80% of its domestic sales and eco-friendly powertrains (CNG, EV, and hybrid) making up more than half of its portfolio by 2030.
Hyundai VENUE: The First Chapter of Hyundai's next-Gen India Vision
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) marked a significant milestone with the global debut of the all-new Hyundai VENUE and VENUE N Line, signalling the beginning of the brand's upcoming transformative growth decade. The compact SUV, which first made waves as an ICOTY-winning model in 2019, now returns with a completely refreshed design, cutting-edge technology, and an engaging performance upgrade.
The all-new Hyundai VENUE, starting at ?7 89,900 (ex-showroom), and its sportier sibling, the VENUE N Line, reflect Hyundai's "Tech Up. Go Beyond." philosophy, combining bold styling with intelligent connectivity and superior comfort. Since its debut in 2019, the Venue, with sales figures crossing 7 lakh, has earned a position among the top three compact SUVs in India. Notably, nearly half of its customers are first-time car buyers, establishing its mass appeal among young urban professionals.
New Manufacturing Era: Pune Plant Goes Live
The launch of the new Venue also supports a major step in Hyundai's manufacturing journey. It becomes the first model to roll out from Hyundai's newly acquired Pune facility, formerly MG Motor's plant, which is now fully operational. With production underway in Maharashtra, the Venue will not only cater to the Indian market but also be exported to over 30 global markets, making India the exclusive manufacturing hub for the model. This earns India a major position in the global diaspora on the auto manufacturing sphere, something the country has been growing into recently.
The Venue's Evolution: Tech-Forward and Globally Ambitious
The all-new Venue represents Hyundai's entry into the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) trend. This marks a step toward smarter, more connected mobility solutions. Equipped with the latest connected tech, enhanced safety suite, and refined performance options, it reinforces Hyundai's positioning as a future-ready, customer-centric brand.
Hyundai's Broader 2030 Ambition
Hyundai's long-term commitment to India is backed by an investment of ?45,000 crore through FY2030. The company plans to achieve ?1 lakh crore in revenue, maintain double-digit EBITDA margins, and ensure dividend pay-outs between 20Â40%. With its India-centric product strategy, Hyundai aims to strengthen its export hub role, targeting up to 30% contribution from exports.
By FY2030, Hyundai envisions servicing 85% of India's districts, with rural markets contributing 30% of total sales. Its growing portfolio, spanning ICE, CNG, EV, and hybrid powertrains, reflects Hyundai's commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and technologically advanced mobility.
