Nissan Gravite launched at Rs 5.65 lakh
Nissan Gravite compact MPV has been launched in India for an introductory price of Rs 5.65 lakh for the first 1,001 customers. The model shares its CMF-A+ platform and overall body structure with the Renault Triber and bookings are now open across the country.
- Introductory price available for first 1,001 customers
- Powered by 1.0-litre petrol engine that pushes 72 PS and 96 NmÂ
- Features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start, cruise control, automatic LED headlights
The Gravite is powered by the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine found in the Triber. It produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque and is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl for the manual version and 19.6kpl for the AMT. A dealer-installed dual-cylinder CNG kit will be introduced soon, though it will be offered only with the manual transmission.
InteriorsInside, the Gravite keeps the same 5+2 seating layout as the Triber, offering flexibility for families. The cabin design is straightforward, with a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel, rotary climate control knobs and multiple storage spaces. Higher variants come equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
Key features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start, cruise control, automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, parking sensors, steering-mounted controls, a wireless charger, cooled glovebox, reverse camera and tyre pressure monitoring system. Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard.
DesignWhile the Gravite's overall shape is similar to the Triber, it gets noticeable cosmetic tweaks. These include a different LED daytime running light pattern, a new honeycomb grille, redesigned bumpers with C-shaped silver accents, unique alloy wheels and 'GRAVITE' badging on the bonnet and tailgate.
The MPV is available in five exterior shades: Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Snow White and Metallic Grey.
Nissan is also offering a limited launch edition, restricted to the first 1,001 units. This version adds a JBL audio system, dual-channel dashcam, ambient lighting and a few additional enhancements.
Nissan is offering the Gravite with a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000km. Buyers can extend this coverage up to 10 years or 5,00,000km, which the company claims is the best in the segment. The first 5,000 customers will also benefit from zero service costs for five years, along with special finance and upgrade schemes.
