New Volvo EX60 Breaks Cover With A Range Of 810 km

Volvo has unveiled the Volvo EX60 for the European market, marking its entry into the luxury electric midsize SUV segment. The EX60 is the first model to be built on Volvo's new EV-dedicated SPA3 platform

The electric SUV will be offered in three powertrain configurations. The base P6 Electric features an 83 kWh battery paired with a rear-mounted motor producing 374 PS and 480 Nm of torque. The mid-spec P10 AWD uses a larger 95 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, delivering a combined output of 510 PS and 710 Nm. At the top of the range is the P12 AWD, which comes with a 117 kWh battery and a more powerful dual-motor configuration producing 680 PS and 790 Nm.

Volvo claims WLTP-certified ranges of up to 620 km for the P6, 660 km for the P10 AWD and up to 810 km for the P12 AWD. The EX60 supports DC fast charging at up to 400 kW, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 20 minutes, while AC charging speeds go up to 22 kW.

Inside, the EX60 features a dual-tone cabin with a layered dashboard layout. The interior is centred around an 11.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch Android-based touchscreen infotainment system. Key features include an electrochromic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, powered driver seat with memory, Apple CarPlay, advanced driver assistance systems, connected car technology, OTA updates and reclining rear seats. Audio is handled by a 21-speaker Bose system, with an optional 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins upgrade. The infotainment system also integrates the Google Gemini AI assistant.

On the outside, the EX60 adopts Volvo's latest EV design language, highlighted by split headlamps with 'Thor's hammer' LED DRLs, a closed-off grille and clean body surfacing. Wheel sizes range from 20 to 22 inches. A Cross Country variant is also available, offering 20mm more ground clearance, protective cladding, skid plates, adaptive air suspension with off-road mode and unique styling elements.
