New Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 moniker trademarked in India

Renowned two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has officially trademarked the name "Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450" in India. This trademark indicates the impending arrival of another motorcycle built on the 450 platform, following the introduction of the all-new Himalayan 450 as the initial member of this lineup. Royal Enfield's plans are no secret, as they are in the process of developing a diverse range of motorcycles based on their current 350cc and 650cc engines, along with a fresh lineup of 450cc two-wheelers. This new series encompasses an adventure motorcycle (the Himalayan 450), a roadster, a scrambler, a cafe racer, as well as a robust rally-spec version of the adventure model.

At present, it remains uncertain whether the "Guerrilla 450" name will be assigned to the scrambler, roadster, cafe racer, or the rugged rally-spec variant. Notably, the scrambler 450 and roadster 450 have been observed undergoing testing abroad on multiple occasions, indicating a likely market launch in the near future.

Meanwhile, Royal Enfield is gearing up for the launch of the highly anticipated new Himalayan 450 in both the Indian and global markets. As the official unveiling approaches, spy images of the production-ready model have emerged online, providing an up-close view of the eagerly awaited adventure motorcycle.

Teasers released by the brand suggest that the all-new Himalayan 450 is set to make its debut in September 2023. This launch will mark the introduction of Royal Enfield's novel 450cc liquid-cooled engine and will feature an array of enhancements. Following in the footsteps of the Super Meteor 650, the Himalayan 450 will be the second model to showcase upside-down front forks. Anticipated to start at around Rs 2-2.30 lakh, the forthcoming adventure motorcycle is generating considerable excitement in the market.
