MV Agusta Brutale 800 unveiled

MV Agusta has unveiled its Brutale 800 with minor updates.

Built on its lightweight chassis, the Brutale 800 engage a fully adjustable Marzocchi 43mm front fork in diameter and 125mm in travel and a Sachs rear monoshock with 130mm travel. Braking performance is handled by a new Brembo M4.32 front calipers with 320mm floating discs, with a Brembo rear caliper and 220mm disc. 

Powering the new Brutale is a 798cc, three-cylinder engine that produces 113PS of power and 85Nm of torque. 

The Brutale 800 rides on Bridgestone S22 tyres(120/70 front) and (180/55 rear), soared on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels. 

In terms of design, the Brutale 800 carries a drop-shaped LED headlamp with cornering function, fibrous fuel tank, steel-trellis frame and a single-sided swingarm. 

The motorcycle introduces a fully digital 5.5-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, including integration with the MV Ride App. The new Advanced Connectivity Device supports features such as an anti-theft system, geolocation, and an emergency SMS function. 

The technology section of the bike includes a 6-axis IMU monitors managing traction control, cornering ABS and rear lift mitigation. The bike is offered with four riding modes, i.e, Rain, Sport, Race and Custom. 

The Brutale 800 is handcrafted in Varese, Italy, and backed by a 5-year factory warranty. The bike debuts in Rosso Ago Opaco (Matt) colour scheme. 

The new Butale 800 is priced at €12,600 in the Italian market. 

MV Augusta Brutale 800 will compete with the likes of KTM 890 Duke R, Ducati Monster, Triumph Street Triple 765, Kawasaki Z900, Yamaha MT-09, Aprilia Tuono 660, Suzuki GSX-S750/GSX-8S and Honda CB1000R, to mention a few.
