Matter partners with Flipkart for pre-bookings of Aera EV

Ahemdabad-based two-wheeler EV start-up Matter has partnered up with e-commerce major Flipkart to retail its new offering the Aera EV. With this, customers will be able to pre-book and purchase the Matter Aera electric bike via Flipkart. Plus, they can also benefit from special introductory offers available upon pre-booking on Flipkart. Notably, Matter launched the Aera EV in April with prices starting at Rs 1,43,999 (ex-showroom, includes FAME-2 subsidy).

Matter Aera EV: Variants and Colours

The Aera is available in choices of four variants: 4000, 5000, 5000+, and 6000+. However, Matter disclosed prices only for 5000 and 5000+ variants at the launch, whereas the 4000 and 6000+ trims will arrive later this year. The Aera 5000 comes in Black and Blue colours, while the Aera 5000+ is available in Black, Blue, White, Red, and Grey shades.

Matter Aera EV: Battery, Range, and Specs

The highlight of the Matter Aera is its unique electric powertrain. It gets a 5kWh liquid-cooled battery pack and an electric motor that produces 10kW (14PS). Linked to this setup is a four-speed HyperShift gearbox with variable throttle response and torque output. In addition, the electric bike has a claimed range between 125km and 150km. The Aera takes five hours to fully recharge with a standard charger, while a fast charger can charge it in a claimed two hours.

Matter Aera EV: Features

The Aera comes with a dual disc setup at both ends with a single-channel ABS, a seven-inch LCD touchscreen display, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, nine axis IMU, three riding modes (Eco, City, and Sports), push button start, and reverse park assist, among others.

Matter Aera: Prices And Rivals

The Matter Aera 5000 and Matter Aera 5000+ cost Rs 1,43,999 and Rs 1,53,999 (ex-showroom, including FAME-II subsidy), respectively. The electric motorcycle competes against the likes of the Tork Kratos, Revolt 400, and Oben Rorr.
