Maruti Suzuki e Vitara launched at Rs 10.99 lakh

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has been launched  in India at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), excluding the battery. The company is offering the battery separately under a subscription model, where buyers will pay Rs 3.99 per kilometre driven. Bookings for the electric SUV are now open for Rs 21,000.

The announced starting price applies to the Delta variant paired with the 49kWh battery pack. However, the complete price list including details for higher trims and their Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans has not yet been disclosed.

Design and Styling

Up front, it gets LED headlamps, a closed grille with active shutters for battery cooling, and thick bumper cladding. The side profile features strong body lines and aero-optimised 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, there is a roof spoiler, LED tail-lamps connected by a transparent strip, and bold e Vitara badging.

Warranty and Ownership Benefits

Maruti Suzuki is offering an 8-year/1,60,000km warranty on the battery pack and a 3-year warranty on the vehicle. Buyers can opt for a 5-year extended warranty at an additional cost.
