Mahindra XUV300 gets new entry-level variants; prices start at Rs 7.99 lakh

Mahindra has expanded the XUV300 line-up with the addition of the new entry-level W2 variant with prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The sportier XUV300 TurboSport has also received a new base-spec variant, called the W4, which is priced at Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, the XUV300 is now available in a choice of five variants: W2, W4, W6, W8, and W8 (optional), while the XUV300 TurboSport is offered in four variants: W4, W6, W8, and W8 (optional).

New Mahindra XUV300 W2 and XUV300 TurboSport W4 Variants Highlights

The most significant update for the XUV300, apart from the new variant, is that the electric single-pane sunroof is now available with the W4 variant onwards across petrol and diesel engine options. By offering lower priced entry-level variants and making sunroof accessible in the base variants, Mahindra appears to be attracting new buyers. Notably, the sub-four meter SUV from the brand competes against the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

New Mahindra XUV300 W2 and XUV300 TurboSport W4: Powertain

Powering the XUV300 is a 1.2-litre, inline three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine making 110PS and 200Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbo-diesel motor that produces 117PS and 300Nm of torque. On the other hand, the XUV300 TurboSport gets a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit generating 131PS and 230Nm of torque (250Nm with a boost function).

Mahindra XUV300 and XUV300 TurboSport: Features

The SUV maker has equipped the XUV300 with a range of features, such as four disc brakes, an electric sunroof, dual-zone temperature control, connected car tech, smartwatch connectivity, a sizable touchscreen unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, and front and rear parking sensors, among others. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.
