Kia Carens CNG launched at Rs 11.77 lakh in India
Kia has launched the new Carens CNG variant in India and will be offered on the Premium(O) trims of the Carens.Â
- The Carens CNG is priced at Rs 11.77 Lakh(ex-showroom).
- It is equipped with a government-approved CNG kit, with a 3-year warranty or up upto 100,000 km for the CNG variant.Â
- The CNG variant retains the standard Carens platform.Â
The Performance section of Carens carries an Advanced Smartstream 1.5L Petrol Engine and a Refined 1.5L CRDi VGT Diesel engine.Â
Carens is built on Kia's 4,540mm-long RV architecture, with 6- and 7-seat layouts, and integrates CNG tank packaging. Kia features a 2nd Seat "One Touch Easy Electric Tumble", Roof Flushed 2nd and 3rd Row Diffused AC vents, Semi Leatherette(Black&Indigo seats), 2nd row 60:40 Split seats with Sliding, Reclining and Tumble, 3rd row 50:50 Split seats with Reclining and Full Flat Folding, ISOFIX Child Anchor, 5 USB Types C-port, Keyless entry, 20.32 cm(8.0'') Touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay with six-speakers and Electric Adjust Outside Mirror with LED Turn Signals.Â
Other significant features include ABS, BAS, ESC, HAC, VSM, DBC, Driver, Passenger Side and Curtain Airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Rear Parking Sensors, All Wheels Disc Brake, High Mount Stop Lamp with Emergency Stop Signal, Front Seat Belts with Pretensioner and Load limiter, Drive and Passenger Seat Belt Reminder, Central Door Lock, Speed Sensing Door Lock, Impact Sensing Door Lock, 3-Point seat belts(All Seats) and Seat Belt Reminders(All Seats). The car is equipped with 6 airbags as standard.Â
Visually, the Carens CNG offers lighting elements and design similar to its petrol and diesel variants. The cabin is equipped with multiple charging ports, connected-car tech, rear AC vents and safety equipment, including six airbags as standard.Â
In terms of dimensions, the car is 4,540 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,708 mm (height with R16 wheels and roof rails), with a wheelbase of 2,780 mm.Â

The exterior colour options offered by Kia are Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Imperial Blue, and Pewter Olive, with Saturn Black, Cocoon Beige, and Navy for the interior.Â
Kia will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG, Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG and Toyota Rumion CNG.Â
