Kawasaki Z900 price hiked by Rs 66,000 after GST 2.0

The Kawasaki Z900 is now priced at Rs 10.18 lakh which is Rs 66,000 dearer than the outgoing price, courtesy of this goes to the GST 2.0 revision which has imposed a 40 per cent tax on bikes above the 350cc.

The Kawasaki Z900 uses a 948cc, in-line, four-cylinder engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine pushes 124 PS at 9,500 rpm and 97.4 Nm of peak torque at 7,700 rpm.

The feature list includes electronic cruise control, a quickshifter, all LED lighting, a 5-inch TFT dash, Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres, power mode, cornering management function, smartphone connectivity, traction control, an assist and slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS to name a few.

The cycle parts include dual semi-floating 300 mm discs up front and a 250 mm  single disc at the rear performing braking duties, a 41 mm USD fork up front and a back-link gas-charged shock absorber at the rear with 120 mm and 140 mm travel respectively.

The bike rides on 17-inch wheels, has a seat height of 830 mm, a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres and tips the scales at 193 kg. The Kawasaki Z900 rivals the likes of the Triumph Street Triple R and Honda CB650R to name a few.
