Jeep Grand Cherokee to make its Indian debut on November 11

Jeep India has confirmed that the 2022 Grand Cherokee will be unveiled on November 11 in the nation. Because it will be domestically produced in India, this version of the full-size SUV is unique.

The Grand Cherokee has previously existed in India, but the 2022 model is an entirely new SUV with a boxy shape and an upright, intimidating front appearance. The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be available in India with a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, an 8-speed automatic gearbox, four-wheel drive, and Jeep's Selec Terrain off-roading technology.

The next Jeep Grand Cherokee will follow the Compass, Meridian, and Wrangler as the automaker's fourth locally built model in the nation. Additionally, all right-hand-drive SUVs will be produced at the company's facility in Ranjangaon, Pune (Maharashtra).

The next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee will have the renowned seven-slot grille, LED DRLs, LED headlights, squared wheel arches, two-piece LED tail lights, twin exhaust tips built into the rear bumper, shark-fin antenna, and roof rails.

A 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument panel, powered front seats, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a dual-tone and  interior theme are anticipated to be included within the future Jeep Grand Cherokee. It will also receive the whole set of driver-assistance features (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping aid, and front collision avoidance. A head-up display (HUD), a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, and a panoramic sunroof are further highlights.

The Grand Cherokee will provide some variety to the premium full-size SUV market and provide a good off-roading package. It will be made domestically in India and would probably cost approximately Rs 80 lakh.
