Hyundai to launch 26 models by FY2030
Hyundai has announced that it will launch 26 models offered with multiple powertrain options, and the company is also planning to strengthen the SUV lineup along with entry in new segments.
26 models to be launched by FY2030
13 ICE models, 5 EV models, 8 HEV models and 6 CNG models
The company is planning to introduce 13 ICE models, 5 EV models, 8 HEV models and 6 CNG models by FY2030. Currently, the brand has 14 nameplates and the plan is to hike that number to 18 by FY30. And that is going to be approached in a three-phase pattern  streamline the product portfolio, strengthen the SUV line-up and entering new segments.
By FY26, the company is planning for four launches which includes 1 full model changes, 1 derivative and 2 facelifts or product enhancements. From FY27-28, the target is set for 8 launches, and this comprises of 2 new nameplates, 3 full model changes, 2 derivatives and 1 facelift or product enhancement.
And the final leg, FY29-FY30 is the most happening, this includes 5 new nameplates, 2 full model changes, 3 derivatives and 4 facelifts or product enhancements. And that makes a total of 26 launches by FY2030. The current India lineup includes 5 SUVs - Creta, Tuscon, Venue, and Exter. The company also offers 2 hatchbacks - i10 and i20. The sedan offering includes the Aura and the Verna, and lastly the electric offering comprises of the Ioniq 5 and the Creta electric.
The company will also introduce its luxury arm Genesis in India by 2027 as part of a Rs 45,000 crore investment plan through FY30. Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO Jose Munoz said, "Following our landmark IPO last year and 29 years of success in India, now HMIL plans an investment of Rs 45,000 crores through FY30 to drive the next phase of growth. India is a strategic priority in Hyundai's global growth vision. By FY30, HMIL will be our second-largest region globally, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Make in India'. We are making India a global export hub, targeting up to 30% export contribution."
