Citroen C3 with an automatic gearbox and additional features expected to debut soon

Just a few months after the Citroen C3's formal introduction in July of this year, spy images of the vehicle have surfaced. This time, though, the top-end model appears to be equipped with more equipment, and automatic transmission has been sighted on Indian roads.

Alloy wheels, automatic temperature control, power folding ORVMs, rear power windows, a rearview camera, a tachometer, and other features are not included in even the top-spec vehicle that is now for sale. With features like a reverse camera, rear power windows, alloy wheels, a rear wiper, and more, this spotted vehicle appears to be the top-end variant. Additionally, the C3's colour pallet does not yet include this brand-new brown tint.

The addition of an automatic gearbox is the most intriguing addition that the C3 will get with the revised model, in addition to the new amenities. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be mated with a 6-speed AT transmission.

The Citroen C3's base engine is a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol motor that puts out 82PS and 118 Nm. This pairs with only a five-speed manual and returns 19.8 kmpl. The other engine option is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol that pairs with a six-speed manual and makes 110PS and 190 Nm. The C3 turbo has a mileage of 19.4 kmpl.

The Citroen C3 can be had in two variants - Live and Feel. The turbo option is only restricted to the top variant. The C3 Live gets features like dual airbags, ABS, digital instrumentation, smartphone holder and wire guide and front power windows with auto up/down.

The top Feel variant further adds gloss black exterior highlights, contrasting interior panels, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, front and rear USB ports, contrast stitching, dual-tone paint options and LED DRLs.

The Citroen C3 range starts from Rs 5.88 lakh and rises all the way up to Rs 8.15 lakh. With the inclusion of new features and an automatic gearbox, we expect the price to rise above Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
