Bookings for the Toyota Rumion CNG are currently on hold

Toyota has notified that bookings for the Rumion MPV's CNG models have been temporarily blocked, however, petrol versions remain available. The Toyota Rumion, which is essentially a rebranded Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, has received a lot of attention, resulting in a lengthier waiting period for the MPV.

In an official press release, the company stated, "We launched the all-new Toyota Rumion in August this year and have received an overwhelming response from our customers who have been waiting for a Toyota vehicle in the B-MPV segment. We are heartened to see the increasing inflow of enquiries and healthy bookings for the all-new Toyota Rumion. The demand has surpassed our expectations, resulting in a long delivery time across variants, especially for the CNG option. This has necessitated us to temporarily halt bookings of the CNG option only to avoid customer inconvenience due to a longer waiting period. However, we continue to accept bookings for the petrol variants of the Toyota Rumion."

The Rumion has five exterior colour options in three variants, S, G, and V. Spunky Blue, Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Iconic Grey, and Rustic Brown are among the colours available. The CNG variant is available in just the S variant.

The Rumion is powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle produces 103PS and 137Nm of torque in petrol mode, while the CNG variant produces 88PS and 121Nm of torque. Toyota claims a fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl for the Petrol variant and 26.11 km/kg for the CNG variant.

Cruise control, Toyota i-Connect technology, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, automatic climate control, and a height-adjustable driver seat are among the Rumion's interior amenities. Safety features include dual front and front-seat side airbags, ABS with EBD, Engine immobilizer, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and more.

The Toyota Rumion range starts from Rs 10.29 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 13.68 lakh, while the only CNG variant is priced at Rs 11.24 lakh.
