BMW M Drift Academy Returns. Expands to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi.

BMW Group India has announced the return of its BMW M Drift Academy for 2026, now expanded into a larger multi-city format. The performance driving program will be hosted across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi, marking its widest reach in the country so far.

The academy is positioned as a structured platform for enthusiasts to experience drifting in a controlled environment, with a strong focus on safety and responsible driving. Certified BMW instructors will train participants and teach advanced techniques such as throttle control, maintaining drifts, and transitioning into drifting through a mix of classroom sessions and on-track practice.

The two-day program will utilise BMW M models, including the M2 and M4, allowing participants to develop precision and control while experiencing high-performance driving dynamics. Upon successful completion, drivers will receive a 'Drift Pilot – Red Badge of Honour', serving as a stepping stone towards the 'Drift Marshal' title.

According to Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, the expansion comes in response to growing demand, to make the experience accessible to a wider audience of performance car enthusiasts.

The 2026 schedule:

Bengaluru, 04 - 05 April 2026 at Manpho Convention Centre

Hyderabad: 11 - 12 April 2026 at Prasad Multiplex

Chennai: 18 - 19 April 2026 at Island Ground

Delhi: 01 - 03 May 2026 at Container Depot Ground, Okhla

Participation is priced at ?1 lakh, with registrations open via authorised BMW dealerships and the DISTRICT platform by Zomato.

Alongside the academy, BMW will also host the 'BMW M After Party' in each city, combining drift demonstrations with music and lifestyle experiences for enthusiasts.
