BMW F 450 GS India launch on 23 April

BMW Motorrad is all set to introduce the BMW F 450 GS in India on April 23. This upcoming model will become the most accessible entry into BMW's iconic GS adventure lineup, especially after the exit of the BMW G 310 GS from the market.

The F 450 GS has generated strong interest ever since it first appeared as a concept at the EICMA 2024. Following multiple test sightings, the production-ready version was finally revealed at EICMA 2025. Soon after, manufacturing began in late November at TVS Motor Company's Hosur plant, highlighting the continued collaboration between BMW and TVS.

At the heart of the F 450 GS is a 420cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 48 PS and 43 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with BMW's Shift Assistant Pro, allowing riders to shift gears without using the clutch.

Globally, the motorcycle is available in four variants - Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy. And it's likely that India will get most, if not all, of these options. The bike weighs 178 kg and features distinctive quad-LED daytime running lights inspired by the flagship BMW R 1300 GS.

Another highlight is BMW's Easy Ride Clutch system, designed to make riding smoother and less tiring. While this feature comes standard on the Trophy variant, it can also be added to other versions as an option.

With local production underway, pricing is expected to be around 4.5-5 lakh mark, though the official price will only be confirmed at launch.
