2026 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 launched at Rs 1.49 Lakh

Royal Enfield has updated the Hunter 350 range in India with the introduction of a new Base Premium variant, aimed at offering better equipment without pushing buyers into the top-spec models. The new trim is priced at around Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is now open for bookings.

The newly added Base Premium variant slots neatly between the entry-level Retro and the more feature-packed Metro versions. It is designed for riders who want practical upgrades like alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, but at a more accessible price point than the higher trims.

What's new?

One of the most notable changes is the switch from spoke wheels to black alloy wheels, now paired with tubeless tyres. The motorcycle also gets a slip-and-assist clutch for lighter operation, along with a stitched seat that adds a touch of premium appeal.

Other equipment includes a halogen headlamp, a semi-digital (analogue-digital) instrument cluster, and Royal Enfield's signature rotary switchgear. The variant is currently offered in a Tarmac Black colour scheme.

New colours

In addition to the new trim, Royal Enfield has refreshed the palette for its higher-spec models with two new shades- Mumbai Yellow and Moonshot White. With these additions, the Hunter 350 lineup now offers a total of ten colour options.

Engine

Mechanically, the Hunter 350 continues unchanged. It is powered by the brand's 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the J-series platform, producing 20 PS and 27 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox and is tuned primarily for smooth urban riding.

Braking setup varies across variants

The braking hardware differs depending on the variant. The entry-level Retro model uses a front disc and rear drum setup with single-channel ABS. The new Base Premium trim upgrades this to disc brakes at both ends while retaining single-channel ABS. Meanwhile, the top-end variants continue to offer dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Competition and segment positioning

The Hunter 350 competes with models like the Triumph Speed T4, Jawa 350, and TVS Ronin. With this update, Royal Enfield is strengthening its foothold in the entry-level modern classic segment by offering more choice and better value to urban riders.
